Just gave birth to my baby girl and I must say I loved every moment being In the Maternity ward besides the pain and all the staff is so amazing, especially the night nurses literally ALL of them they actually care about the mothers. I couldn't have asked for more they were literally there through every rough situation even the unpleasant embarrassing moments they helped with care... They treated me like family like everything was going to be okay I felt amazing being under there care such sweet loving people!! The day nurses were fine as well but didnt show as much love and care it was just another patient. Regardless they were still nice just would have liked them to be more into helping you with the love and care as the nurses showed. Only negative thing is the food isn't very good if possible don't order in house have someone bring u something lol besides that this is definitely a hospital to check out for all mommies! Rated 10 by me any day! Thank you ladies!!!!!
I didn't like this place at all, I came here all the way from MIAMI to finally meet my god daughter.. only to find out that my own daughter could not enter the room with me. I'm very upset and annoying and frustrated at the fact that when I asked "why" the lady in the front gave me a huge attitude and all she said was "it's a rule" like I drove 1 hour to get down here and I had to leave because my own daughter could not enter with me. She's 7 I couldn't just leave her in the waiting room alone.
I was sent to Boca West because I am pregnant and was having swelling. It started with a very bad experience when I told the nurse that I don't do well with needles in the hand she insisted that she put the needle in my hand which then caused it to bleed out. She done had to remove the needle and stick it in my arm. I was there for a few hours and was were told to return the next day for a 24 hour urine. After all was said and done I received a bill a couple weeks later for services that I had not had. Even though the same stuff was done two different days in a row there was two totally different prices for services. Such as laboratory fees medical fees Radiology Pharmacy. On top of that their staff is unable to read my ultrasound so they had an outsourced which then I got another bill from another company. I believe if your text cannot read the ultrasound then they should not be text especially in a major Hospital in a maternity ward. Needless to say I will not now be delivering at this hospital I have chosen a different hospital for the safety of myself in my child.
My nurses Brittany & subastin were great now the ER doc was horrible. Many times I called for her and they would say she was busy. I came in for a seizure and I waited 3 hrs after all my tests and cat scan results came in just to know if she was going to keep me or not because she was not looking at my chart one of the nurses told me. And when finally a nurse told her that I wanted her I could hear her complain about me asking for her through so many people but yet that was happening because she didn't come back to my room since she introduced herself to me. Now you would think it's because the place was packed but no only 4 beds in use plus mine.
The nurses and techs here are amazing and compassionate. I've been here for almost 3 days with excruciating headaches. The attending physicians Ali and Kamal would not even give me Tramadol, a NON narcotic! Finally they gave me a whole 25 mg. I played 11 years as a professional hockey goaltender, I have a high threshold for pain and this did nothing for me. I got the impression that because I have a Jewish last name (even though I am on 25% Jewish) that these so called doctor's are anti Semitic and take delight in my suffering. If you get these as your attending physicians, DON'T walk....RUN! I have never seen such cruel indifference in physicians and after all I've been through I've been around plenty. I intend to take legal action and file a complaint against them with my insurance carrier. Oh and because of the ridiculous pain I'm in my blood pressure is 180/111, so I guess they would love for me to have a stroke or a heart attack. Hey! What's a dead Jew is no skin off their backs. I've always had great treatment here but since these clowns are running things I'd rather die a slow painful death than come back here.
